NDIS software for Australian Capital Territory providers
ACT providers work with national NDIS rules plus the territory's own: NDIS worker screening through Access Canberra, the ACT Senior Practitioner for restrictive practices, and ACT-only public holidays such as Canberra Day and Reconciliation Day.
What's different about running NDIS supports in the ACT
Worker screening: Access Canberra
In the ACT, NDIS worker screening is handled by Access Canberra alongside Working with Vulnerable People registration. Workers apply online or at an Access Canberra service centre.
The clearance is national and lasts five years. Registered providers must confirm it in the NDIS Worker Screening Database before a worker starts a risk-assessed role, and keep records of it.

There are no state-specific NDIS prices. National price limits apply in metropolitan and regional areas (Modified Monash Model MM 1–5). Supports delivered in MM 6 (remote) or MM 7 (very remote) areas use the higher remote and very remote limits. Use where the support is delivered, not the participant's home address.
No towns in the ACT are on the 2026–27pricing schedule's isolated towns list, so the Modified Monash Model category alone decides which limit applies. Look up an address's category in the Health Workforce Locator.

Work on a public holiday attracts SCHADS Award public holiday rates, and many NDIS supports have a public holiday price limit. Which days count depends on the holidays declared in the ACT:
- Canberra Day is the second Monday in March.
- Reconciliation Day is the Monday on or after 27 May.
- Labour Day is the first Monday in October.
Dates change each year — check the official list before you roster.
Restrictive practices authorisation
The NDIS Commission regulates behaviour support, but each state and territory decides how regulated restrictive practices are authorised. The ACT has a Senior Practitioner, established under the Senior Practitioner Act 2018, who oversees the use of restrictive practices and registers positive behaviour support plans that include them.
One system for the ACT providers
Rostering with local public holidays
Set public holidays for the ACT — and for individual sites, for local show days — so shifts on those days carry the right SCHADS penalty rates and NDIS public holiday prices.
RosteringWorker screening and credential tracking
Track every worker's NDIS Worker Screening clearance, first aid, licences and other credentials, with alerts before they expire and a warning on the roster if one has lapsed.
Recruitment & onboardingIncidents and Commission deadlines
Workers report incidents from the app. Reportable incidents are flagged and the 24-hour and 5-business-day NDIS Commission deadlines are tracked in one queue.
Incident managementRestrictive practices register
Keep each regulated restrictive practice next to its behaviour support plan, with every use logged — ready for the authorisation process in the ACT.
Restrictive practicesNDIS billing from the shift
Billing lines sit on the shift with the support item and price from your price guide. Create NDIA bulk claim files and invoice plan managers and self-managed participants.
NDIS billingTimesheets and SCHADS pay rules
Weekend and public holiday penalties, evening and night loadings, overtime, sleepovers and broken shifts are set up as pay rules you can open and check.
