About Psychology in the NDIS pricing schedule

Psychology is a section of Appendix 5 – Early Childhood Supports in Part 2 of the NDIS pricing schedule 2026-27. Its items are funded from the Assistance with Daily Life (includes SIL) (01, Core) and Improved Daily Living Skills (15, Capacity Building) support categoriesof a participant's plan.

Cancellations, non-face-to-face work, provider travel, NDIA-requested reports and telehealth have their own claim-type item numbers in 2026–27. Use those rather than the parent item when the support isn't a face-to-face service.

For time-of-day items, the NDIS shift cost estimator shows which line items a shift falls into. To see every price change across the schedule, use NDIS price changes 2026–27.

Claiming these items

How to find and claim the right NDIS support item
  1. 1
Identify the support and who delivers it
Decide what the support is (for example self-care, community participation, therapy) and the worker level or profession delivering it, then find that section in the schedule.
  2. 2
Pick the time band and intensity
Choose the item for the day and time the support is delivered, and standard or high intensity. If one worker's support crosses two bands, the higher limit applies to the whole support.
  3. 3
Use the claim-type item if it isn't direct service
For therapy and early childhood items, claim cancellations, non-face-to-face work, provider travel, NDIA-requested reports and telehealth against the matching suffixed item (_CA, _NF, _PT, _RR, _TH).
  4. 4
    Apply the location
Check the Modified Monash Model category of where the support is delivered and the isolated towns list, then use the national, remote or very remote limit.
  5. 5
Check the price against the service agreement
Claim no more than the limit and no more than the price agreed in the participant's service agreement. Limits include GST.
  6. 6
    Claim in the right unit
Claim in the item's unit of measure (hour, each, day, week or month). For group supports, divide the limit by the number of participants in the group.
